Coatings & Ceramic Products
CAPTAL® is a high purity synthetic Hydroxylapatite having
a very similar composition to that of the mineral content in
human bone. It is thermally stable to 1300ºC in air, retaining
a highly crystalline structure.
The powder manufactured by PBL can be processed into different
products; Dense Ceramic, Microporous Ceramic, Macroporous Ceramic,
Foam Block and Composites.
Research is being undertaken at several Universities using
these substrates to culture Human Osteblast cells (HOB) for tissue
engineering experiments.
